The Friends of St James are very keen to promote the formation of an Old Girls Group as there are quite a few of you living in the UK. Committee member Nicky Peters, (née Reed) who taught at St James for two years, has already arranged one meeting with Old Girls, and she would like to hear from more of you out there.
Please get in touch with Nicky

Sibongile (Sibo) Sesay has been trying to co-ordinate some of the Old Girls, and there is some interest. However, many are working and have little spare time and others are having to deal with immigration applications and the education system and need to feel settled before getting too involved.
Sibo, Stella Mpofu and Bongani Mvubu have set up a support group for Zimbabwean parents, some of whom are Old Girls, and their children. This group encourages a cultural awareness of Zimbabwe, as well as offering support to the parents. The children are learning Zimbabwean dancing, and at the 2006 and 2007 AGMs they entertained the Friends with a very impressive display.
